Clerk of House of Representatives, Rep. Ilham Essaki, Takes Part in Meeting of the Steering Bureau of the Arab Parliament’s High-Level Parliamentary Working Group on Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transition

<p style="text-align: justify;">Clerk of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ilham Saki, took part on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, via videoconference, in the meeting of the Steering Bureau of the High-level Parliamentary Working Group on Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transition under the Arab Parliament.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting falls within the scope of the regular meetings held by the Group, with a view to disseminating digital culture in Arab countries and limiting the challenges these countries face in technology.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">During the meeting, the participants discussed several topics inscribed on the order of business. Besides, the meeting also featured the presentation of a general outline of the Group’s Code of Ethics, in addition to a presentation on the creation of a digital network for Arab Parliaments in order to reinforce relations and exchange experiences.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">During her intervention on artificial intelligence, Rep. Ilham Essaki underscored the importance of employing artificial intelligence in scientific research while considering the negative impacts it might have on the job market and the Arab and Islamic value system.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As regards the reinforcement of ties between Arab Parliaments, the Moroccan Representative praised the creation of the said Network and the utilization of artificial intelligence to strengthen communication, share experiences, and exchange expertise in legislation and control between Arab Parliaments.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The participants in the meeting also commended the Moroccan experience in digitalizing parliamentary action.</p>
