The First-ever Participation of the Moroccan Parliament in the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL 27)

<p style="text-align: justify;">For the first time in the history of the legislative institution, the Moroccan Parliament, with its two Houses, takes part in the 27<sup>th</sup> International Publishing and Book Fair, to be held in Rabat over the period of June 02-12, 2022.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This event shall represent an important opportunity for the legislative institution to interact directly with citizens, seeking to project the true picture of its parliamentary work. In this regard, the Fair visitors shall be offered the chance to explore the Parliament's rich documentary assets and publications on its history, composition, legislative and control activities, evaluation of public policies, parliamentary diplomacy, as well as its openness to civil society.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Parliament’s pavilion shall exhibit photos from the archives of the legislative institution, documenting the period since the National Consultative Council (1956-1959), the first elected parliament in 1963, through all legislative terms up to the present time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Visitors to the Moroccan Parliament space shall also receive explanations about the legislative institution, its role and its contribution to the consolidation of the democratic process in the Kingdom, as they will have access to videos and other media about the Parliament.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It should be noted that on the occasion of the International Publishing and Book Fair, the two Houses of Parliament have decided to grant open-source digital versions of their publications, which can be found and downloaded from the Parliament's website.</p>
