Speaker of the House of Representatives Received by the President of the Republic of Senegal

<p style="text-align: justify;">President of the Republic of Senegal, H.E. Macky Sall, received on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Presidential Palace in Dakar, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, currently on a working visit to the Republic of Senegal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The reception featured the presence of Senegal's National Assembly Speaker, Hon. Amadou Mame Diop, and Moroccan Ambassador, H.E. Hassan Naciri.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In a statement, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami commended the strong relationship between the two countries under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, and H.E. President Macky Sall. In this respect, he underscored the necessity of reinforcing these deep-rooted ties at all levels.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Besides, he noted that this reception was an opportunity to convey the Moroccan people's gratitude for Senegal's unwavering support for the Kingdom's territorial integrity.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Speaker of the House also praised Senegal's impressive strides in infrastructure development, stability, and social cohesion. He attributed these achievements to the country's political wisdom and maturity, resulting in sustained political stability.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The meeting additionally served as an opportunity for the Speaker of the House to congratulate H.E. President Macky Sall on his efforts and advocacy for Africa's interests during his tenure as the head of the African Union in the previous term.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Accompanied by a distinguished delegation composed of Rep. Ahmed Touizi (Chairperson of the Group of Authenticity and Modernity), Rep. Abderrahim Chahid (Chairperson of the Socialist Group – Ittihadi Opposition), Rep. Chaoui Belaassal (Chairperson of the Constitutional, Democratic, and Social Group), and Rep. Rachid Hammouni (Chairperson of the Group of Progress and Socialism), the Speaker of the House was decorated by the Senegalese President by the National Order of the Lion of the rank of commander. The other delegation members were awarded the National Order of the Lion of the rank of officer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This significant visit was marked by signing a pivotal Parliamentary Cooperation Protocol between the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Senegalese National Assembly.</p>
