Parliamentary Delegation Led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Performs Working Visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg

<p style="text-align: justify;">A Moroccan parliamentary delegation, led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, is on a working visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, on Wednesday and Thursday.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">During the visit, which comes upon the invitation of the President of the European Parliament, Ms. Roberta Metsola, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami will be accompanied by the Chairperson of the Morocco-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee, Mr. Lahcen Haddad, and the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Mr. Najib El Khadi.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The visit is part of the regular political consultations between the two Parliaments. In this respect, the Speaker of the House of Representatives will hold talks with the President of the European Parliament and several European parliamentary officials, including chairpersons of groups and committees.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On the same occasion, Ms. Metsola, alongside the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Ms. Pina Picierno, will chair the meeting of the Mediterranean delegation, where she will officiate the formal handover of the Presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean to Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Being the new President of this Mediterranean parliamentary assembly, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami will present the political priorities and the work program of the Moroccan Presidency.</p>
