Rachid Talbi El Alami.

On this occasion, the “Children of Peace” addressed the following “Appeal for Peace:”

"Here on the soil of the Kingdom of Morocco, the land of peace, tolerance, and love, we -- the children of the world -- meet from the East and the West of the globe, from its North and South. Here we are, united by our love for peace and our yearning for it to reign over all corners of the Earth and to become the language spoken by all, with no exception. No! We don't dream, because we are the children of today and the men of tomorrow. Our meeting at the International Children of Peace Festival reinforces our belief that one day we will enjoy the peace and strengthens our will to pursue it and promote a spirit of tolerance and coexistence on this small planet, within the great vast universe.

Neither our diverse genders, our different languages, nor our multiple colors will stand in the way of promoting a culture of love and peace in this fantastic forum: the International Children of Peace Festival. Here we meet on the soil of this kind, generous land, hence uniting our visions and coordinating our aspirations for a tomorrow when the sun of peace and harmony shines, when we return to our countries having grown our faith in values and ideals, filled our souls with these great human convictions, and become ready to spread them in turn among our peers, with the hope that it would become an anthem for all to sing and a goal to work to achieve.

If wars have plans, armies, and goals, then so has peace! We know – despite our young age -- that peace is difficult to achieve and harder to maintain, but our expectations from you, adults, are immense. So this is our appeal to you. We call upon you to work towards victory in the battle for peace because real and lasting victories are the ones of peace, not wars. We, children, have always taken lessons from you, and now our turn has come at this International Children of Peace Festival. We now have the floor, and let this appeal be the lesson you, adults, take from us, so be attentive. We want peace, not only among humans but also between humans and the Earth!

Consider our lesson thoroughly, and chant with us all: may peace prevail, may peace prevail, may peace prevail!"
