Speaker of the House of Representatives Offers Condolences Following Death of President of European Parliament the Late David Maria Sassoli

<p style="text-align: justify;">Following the death of the President of the European Parliament, the late David Maria Sassoli, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami sent a message of condolences and compassion to the Acting President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>It was with deep emotion and sadness that I learned the sad news of the passing of the President of the European Parliament, the late David Maria Sassoli.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>In this tragic circumstance, I wish to convey to you, in my name and on behalf of all the members of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco, and to the members of the Bureau of the European Parliament, the European Deputies, the family of the deceased and to the social democratic family our most profound condolences and feelings of deepest sympathy.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>On this saddening occasion, I would like to honor the memory of this great man, who has served with ardor and conviction the interests of Europe and the Mediterranean. He was a man of vision, peace, democracy and humanism, as reflects his career as a European Deputy, as President of the European Parliament and as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean. </em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>It is not only Europe that has lost this dear friend and colleague, but also Morocco and all Mediterranean countries. In these dark circumstances, I would like to reassure you that the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean share your grief.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>While reiterating to you our heartfelt condolences and those of all the Members of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco, I beg you, Madam President, to accept the assurance of my highest esteem.</em></p>
