Thematic Working Group for Evaluating Elementary Education Performs Field Visit to Elementary Schools in Casablanca-Settat Region

<p style="text-align: justify;">The thematic working group in charge of evaluating the public policies on elementary education resumed its field visits to elementary schools in the Kingdom's regions to assess their actual situation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In this respect, the group visited several elementary schools in the Casablanca-Settat region on January 7-8^th, 2020. The schools were located in Benslimane, Settat, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Ain Sebaa, and Casablanca-Anfa.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Most of the visited schools were located in rural areas as the group members tried to identify the extent of implementing the program for generalizing and reforming elementary education in rural areas, and the level of commitment to the program goals by the different actors, including Government services (Regional Academy of Education and Training and the Regional Delegation of Endowments and Islamic affairs) and the active civil society associations.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Also, the deputies focused on basic and consistent training as their visit was an opportunity to assess the contribution of resource centers to implementing the goals of the Government program related to training education staff and teaching them the pedagogic basics that will develop their theoretical and practical skills in their interaction with young children.</p>
