Upon High Royal Instructions, Speaker of the House of Representatives Represents His Majesty the King at Inauguration Ceremony of Equatorial Guinea President

<p style="text-align: justify;">Upon High Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in the capital, Malabo.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Following the inauguration ceremony, attended also by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom in Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Ghallam Michane, the Speaker of the House expressed his profound gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, for entrusting him with this mission of representing His Majesty at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On the same occasion, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami was received by the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. In this regard, the Speaker of the House stressed that the Kingdom maintains strong historical friendship ties with the Republic of Equatorial Guinea at the bilateral and multilateral levels.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Besides, the Speaker of the House of Representatives also met with government officials of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. In this respect, he held talks with the Vice-President of the Republic, and members of the government, namely the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of State for Public Affairs, the Minister of Justice, and the Speakers of the Parliament.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the Speaker added that the inauguration ceremony was also an opportunity to hold meetings with many leaders of countries and heads of governments and legislative institutions, in particular the Presidents of the Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Central Africa, São Tomé and Príncipe, the Nigerian Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Comoros, the adviser to the Egyptian President, as well as the delegations from Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.</p>
